A road less travelled

Painting by priya saraf, countryside

"A road less travelled" is about the beauty we encounter in an unexpected way. Remember the time you lost your way and ended up wandering in the beautiful countryside? Next time you do, try not to blame your GPS or worry about your tires and just enjoy the drive :)

Painted with acrylic on 6x6 inch gallery style canvas, this painting continues on the sides of the canvas to provide depth. This is my first small painting. Working with this size of canvas was challenging and enjoyable at the same time. I most certainly will continue working with this size of canvas.

Original photograph by Jim Cooper from Pmp captured on a  country road of Stonyford, California.

Scenic Marshland

Painting by Priya Saraf

This marshland is located in Easton, Maryland. White hibiscus is in bloom here in summer. Marshes are serene and full of life and I plan to capture them in all of their glory. So in future you will see more of marshland paintings from me.

Original photograph is by Fontaine Moore from Pmp.

Painted with oil on 16x20 inch canvas panel. I truly enjoyed painting this, hope you like it!

Taking flight

Painting by Priya Saraf

Seagulls preparing to take a flight on this calm seashore is resonating with my feelings today. "Taking flight" is my first oil painting. The original photograph was captured by Fiana Gerzon from Pmp on Palm coast, Florida. Painted using oil on 24x24 inch canvas.
